Central Market Brings UK Cheese and other Mouth Treats to Austin

Central Market is like the lover of food almost lost food forever and created memorials in her name. Food is loved, adored, admired and seen with a lust in every shop. It is a store that’s original aim was to make grocery shopping no longer be a chore, but an experience. You walk the streets of Central Market as though you’re at a farmer’s market … Continue reading Central Market Brings UK Cheese and other Mouth Treats to Austin

Did Kyoten Survive Chef Otto Leaving for his Michelin?

I was very curious on whether or not Kyoten would taste just as masterful in rice and sushi rolls once Otto left for Chicago. At the least, he does seem far happier there with his dreams and ambition creating higher places to reach. As he stated in our interview with him, there’s someplace he’s trying to go but he may never reach it. Otto: The … Continue reading Did Kyoten Survive Chef Otto Leaving for his Michelin?

Review of Southern Pressed Juicery in the Domain

I really used to think Açaí bowls were the knockoff versions of bento bowls. Around town we have many Açaí bowls that compete with each other but feel the same, and I’ve been questioning the sourcing at various places to know how they … Continue reading Review of Southern Pressed Juicery in the Domain

Where to Cheaply Eat Paleo in Austin

I’ve been following the ever evolving “paleo” diet for a few years. The diet changes as we find new information out about our species and as we uncover more data. Turns out ancient cultures did eat more than bacon. Honestly diets are weird if they try to go ancient because the way people ate was based on what was around them. Most American diets try to eat the same thing year round. Us Amazon.comians.

Chef Darci’s Watermelon Lemonade Recipe

After interviewing these amazing chefs around Austin and letting you know about them, we also want to give you a taste of what they do. We asked Chef Darci for a recipe for her brighteningly sweet watermelon lemonade. After leaving I have to admit I left the watermelon slice in there, and it flavored my water all day as I refilled it.
